Mission Statement: The purpose of Adopt!inc. is to provide high quality adoption services to children, their birth parents and their adoptive parents. With the best interest of children as the top priority, we commit to find loving families for children in need of permanent homes. We strive to render services in a sensitive, expedient manner. The scope of services includes domestic and International adoptive home studies, domestic child placement services, birth parent support/counseling, and post placement services.

Domestic Services: Adopt!inc. is licensed by the state of Kentucky as a child-placing agency and can complete home studies only for those living in Kentucky. To complete an agency adoption, a home study is required. We offer individualized home studies and start when you're ready (i.e. you are not required to wait for group orientation and training). The average completion time for home studies by our agency is 6 to 8 weeks.

Once a home study is complete, Adopt!inc. is willing and able to send your home study to two other licensed adoption agencies. This enables you to be on the Adopt!inc. waiting list as well as the two others you choose. Adopt!inc. staff can help you in this decision-making process. This way you can be on three agencies' waiting lists at once.

International Services: Adopt!inc. provides home studies for International adoption. We are licensed by the state of Kentucky to provide home studies for residents of Kentucky. In Kentucky, the majority of families who adopt Internationally, work with two adoption agencies:

• A home study agency (such as Adopt!inc.)
• A child placing agency (the agency that has the "International" connections)

In other words, we do not do child placing Internationally, only domestically (in the U.S.). For International adoption, we send the completed home studies to the child-placing agency.

We have completed home studies for families who have adopted from various countries. The three most popular at this time are Guatemala, Russia, and China. We are able to complete home studies for any country.
