Adoption and Home Study Specialists is a non-profit, licensed child-placing agency serving children in need of homes, and families interested in adopting orphans from other countries or minority children in the United States. Our Board of Directors and professional staff includes adoptive parents and adult adoptees with over 50 years combined experience in the adoption field. There is a great need for permanent homes for thousands of children throughout the world. It is our mission to change the world, by touching hearts, one child at a time.
Services:
Adoptive Parents:: We assist
adoptive parents in domestic and international adoption.
Our services include domestic placement, adoptive home
study reports, post placement supervision reports,
court reports, placement investigations for independent
adoption, adoption referral services, assistance with
your individual adoption plan, adoption education,
support groups, social and cultural resources. We realize
that this can be a stressful time and are committed
to assisting you to the best of our ability. Our office
is open when yours is closed and we can accommodate
your need for weekend or evening hours. Our experienced
staff offers confidential, sensitive, supportive guidance
through every step of the adoption process.
Birth Parents: We assist birth
parents considering placing their child for adoption.
Our services include pregnancy, adoption and grief
counseling, continued support before, during and after
your pregnancy, assistance with pregnancy related expenses,
assistance in selecting the adoptive family you want
to place your child with, providing pictures, and letters
and updates from the adoptive parents if that is your
wish. We believe that birth parents give the greatest
gift of all and consider it an honor to assist you
in your adoption plan. We have families who want to
adopt a child of any race and are committed to raise
their child with the knowledge of their adoption, positive
and loving thoughts of their birth parents, and the
belief that a child's heritage is an important part
of his life.
