Your Hometown Adoption Experts

We provide individualized services tailored to your specific situation, and comprehensive support through the home study and adoption process. You will feel secure knowing that birth parents receive counseling from very experienced, Master’s level therapists. Since 1948, we have brought together over 2,500 parents and children. We offer professional services, attention to detail, and a secure legal process. We are also accredited and nationally recognized for the success of our program by the Council on Accreditation for Families and Children. Our goal is for you to become parents as soon as possible, and without any risk of complications!

Answers to some of your questions:

Q: Do you have to be Catholic?
A: We welcome applications from couples of all faiths.

Q: Is adoption risky?
A: Not with us. More than 98% of our adoptions become legal and complete.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: In the majority of our adoptions, the total expenses run between $10,000 and $16,000 before the $10,000 Federal Adoption Tax Credit, which can reduce the total paid to less than $6,000.

Q: How long is the wait?
A: Currently, after the home study is completed, the average wait for a placement is less than a year.

Q: Can I choose between a closed and open adoption?
A: Yes. Adoptive parents and birth parents are encouraged to design the adoption plan best suited to their needs and the needs of their child.

Q: What is the typical birth mother like?
A: She is usually between 18 and 30 years of age. Often she is parenting at least one other child and has little or no emotional support. She is in good health and has had prenatal care. Her goal is to find a stable family who will love her baby forever. She is a young woman of considerable maturity and courage.

Q: Who adopts through Catholic Social Services of Northern Kentucky?
A: Couples who are residents of the Diocese of Covington and who have been married at least 3 years and are between the ages of 25 and 45. Also, couples who are in good health, have a normal life expectancy, and have the physical, financial and emotional resources to attend to the needs of a growing child.
