JFCS staff members are licensed social workers with many years of experience in the adoption field serving individuals and couples of all ages, races, religions, and ethnic backgrounds throughout the state of Kentucky.
Services
- Home Studies
for Domestic and International placements. JFCS
staff facilitate your home study process to help
you complete required forms, understand the adoption
process, and learn about the needs of children. All
home studies may be used with licensed out of state
agencies.
- Independent Adoption Placement Investigations,
on behalf of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. These
services are designed for those families who are
pursuing an independent placement.
- Post Placement Services for families to help in
the adjustment process in their new family and to
assist in finalizing the adoption. Group programs
and continuing education sessions are also held.
- Information and Counseling Services to help couples,
adoptees and birth families in each stage of the
adoption process understand their needs, learn about
adoption and explore their own concerns and issues.
JFCS also provides information and referral services.
